April 24, 2025 | 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM ET
Speakers: Drs. Megan Vinh & Hsiu-Wen Yang

Early science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) experiences tap into children’s natural curiosity and provide opportunities for learning and discovery. In this session, we will explore how providing STEM learning opportunities is a critical vehicle for promoting social and emotional learning (SEL) for young children. Together, we will explore practices aimed at embedding SEL opportunities within playful STEM exploration and discovery. Presenters will provide ideas and practical strategies to embed SEL and STEM within your current routines and activities, emphasizing inclusion and belonging for all young children. Additionally, we will actively engage participants and offer actionable tools to use to promote SEL within playful STEM opportunities.
