AccessPlay AI: Empowering Early Childhood Educators to Create Inclusive Learning (2026; Funded by Design and Innovation for the Public Good at UNC Chapel Hill; $49,981).
The project aims to co-create an AI-powered tool, AccessPlay, to support early childhood educators (ECEs) in developing inclusive learning experiences for children with disabilities. Using a human-centered design model and mixed-methods methodology, we will identify ECEs’ practices and challenges in creating inclusive environments. By engaging ECEs and administrators during prototype development, we ensure AccessPlay meets their needs and integrates into their workflows, ultimately empowering ECEs to support all children and enhance educational outcomes.

Vibe2Solution: This project partners with the community to uncover real challenges families and practitioners experience in daily life and transforms them into simple, practical tools using a vibe-coding and design-thinking approach. By co-designing quick prototypes rooted in lived experiences, it creates meaningful solutions that strengthen family–professional collaboration and can be scaled for broader impact.
